The Brown STEM Girl™ Scholarship (BSG) is a prestigious scholarship program for girls of color is based on evidence that by removing the financial barriers to college, a dedicated scholarship can enable high-potential, minority students to excel in their course work, graduate college, and continue their journey to making a difference in the world through STEM.
Brown STEM Girl™ presents STEM in the City Day
In 2022, BSG will host the inaugural STEM in the City Day, an unprecedented conference created exclusively to honor women of color in the (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
STEM in the City is a two-day event. Day one will feature a full day of workshops and interactive sessions, in addition to a VIP Gala & Scholar Pinning Ceremony.
Day-two features STEM in the City Day at an exclusive STEM related location.
This entire event is designed to highlight and honor the contributions of the unsung women of color who for decades have blazed trails in the STEM fields, in addition to catapulting girls of color as the future of STEM.
Attendees will leave this event with both information and inspiration designed to guide and mentor their passion for STEM.
